We are DELIGHTED to announce that the Save Farley Moor campaign (Friends of Matlock Forest) has been selected as the winner of the Inspiring Groups category of CPRE’s Living Countryside Awards!
The Campaign to Protect Rural England, also known as The Countryside Charity, are champions of the countryside and green spaces which enrich our lives and play a crucial role in responding to the climate emergency.
“The work you do to protect and enhance our beautiful Derbyshire countryside is commendable, and we were impressed by your commitment and achievements, particularly from growing as a group objecting to the planning application to hosting monthly community events, creating an app, and your recent Time Team dig!”
Carol and Angie went to collect our award last weekend! Thank you to everyone who voted for us, we’re so thrilled to receive the recognition for everyone’s hard work and our incredibly supportive community.
Watch this space for exciting news to come.
