Firstly go to the map of the forest on my.wildmap.org/matlock-forest
This will show you what has been logged already from various data, and other aspects of the area.

Then, on WhatsApp, add this number to your contacts 07822012543 with the name Wild Map Farley, and send a message ‘hello’. 

It will then send you instructions. It’s really easy you use! 

Firstly click on the + or 📎 symbol bottom left – and select ‘location’. 

You will get a message asking what you can see.

Then add your sighting, with video or audio if at all possible. That’s it!

TIP – it is a good idea to be prepared before you post a sighting, if you are uncertain check for the correct name first, take a photo, or use the Merlin app recording or screen shot.

Please use the app, as the results will be so useful if we ever have to go to an appeal.

The more detail and recording we can get in different seasons the more we can challenge the Report Forest Holidays commissioned take on one short time slot on a June day, declaring the area as pretty barren!
